About Our Project
Knowledge Meets Curiosity
The project involves a smart assistant which will monitor external conditions and will suggest what changes must be made in the room to save electricity like -
As lighting outside decreases, the number of lights switched on in the room will increase.
If the outside temperature is nearly equal to temperature set by the user in air-conditioner, then the air-conditioner will be turned off and windows will be opened.
If there is no one inside the room say for sometime, then all appliances will be turned off.
If someone is sleeping inside the room then all lights will be turned off and curtains will be folded.

We have also made an app to be able to track the amount of electricity saved as compared to user’s average electricity consumption.
Why Room Buddy
Electricity is an essential resource for a thriving life. It runs our daily life. Life without electricity would be impossible to imagine now. The world will lose its light if there is no electricity. We must conserve electricity so that we can conserve these resources. We must stop the wastage of power. Our project focus on the problems based on the fact that how people often forget to switch off the electric appliances and gadgets when they leave their rooms or when they are not in their rooms. These devices consume at least 10% of electricity even when inactive.Air conditioners, heaters, ovens, refrigerators when used more properly, we can successfully save large amounts of electricity.
